Continuing Care Program
What will happen if your pet outlives you?
While it may be difficult to think about, it is necessary for all pet owners to consider.
The SPCA of Martinsville & Henry County’s Continuing Care Program ensures a safe, bright future for pets whose caretakers precede them in death. Pets enrolled in the program are placed with new families that are carefully selected by our staff.
This program is reserved for members of our Best Friend’s Society, which is composed of SPCA supporters who have included us in their estate plans.
Joining the Best Friend’s Society and Continuing Care Program is easy:
1. To learn about the many different options for including the SPCA in your estate plans, call Nicole Harris at (276) 638-7297.
2. Complete a non-binding Statement of Testamentary Provision describing your estate plans for the SPCA of Martinsville & Henry County.
3. Mail the form back to the SPCA of Martinsville & Henry County, 132 Joseph Martin Highway, Martinsville, VA 24112.
4. We will contact you to complete our Continuing Care Agreement and Enrollment forms. These forms help us understand your pet’s breed, traits and personality.
