About Our Volunteer Program

The Volunteer Program is for individuals 14 years of age and up. Please review the listing of Volunteer Job Opportunities to see what might interest you.

How To Get Started

Please complete the Volunteer Application and submit it to the SPCA. You will be contacted to attend a Volunteer Orientation. Orientation will include a tour of the facility, overview of our operations and a question and answer session. Volunteer Jobs Available

1.Adoption Facilitator/Customer Service (AF/CV - Give tours, assist with adoptions, answer phones)
2.Dog and Puppy Patrol (DP - Socialize dogs and puppies, walk and train adult dogs)
3.Spic & Span 1 (SS1 - Help keep a clean environment in our lobby area)
4.Spic & Span 2 (SS2 - Help keep a clean environment in the kennel area)
5.PurrBox (PB - Socialize cats and kittens)
6.Suds & Bubbles (SB Help with bathing animals, dishes and laundry.)
7.Grounds Volunteer (Help with maintenance of yard)
8.Office Volunteer (OV - Help with mailings and general office duties.)
9.Humane Education Volunteer (Goes on visits to schools to conduct humane education.)
10.Pet Therapy Volunteer (Takes animals to various nursing facilities for visits.)
