Wondering exactly what mix of breeds your mixed breed is? Now a DNA test called the Canine Heritage™ Breed Test can tell you. It can detect 38 breeds and is gaining popularity, as nearly half the pet canines in the United States are mixed breeds. To find out if you have a goldendoodle (golden retriever/poodle mix) a pomapoo (Pomeranian/poodle mix), or another combo, ask your vet about the test. All that's needed is a cheek-swab sample, and results are usually available within 6 weeks.
