Does Your Dog Jump Up On You and Your Guests Dec 12, 2006

Jumping up
When your dog jumps on you, he wants attention.
So try this. He jumps, you fold your arms and say “off” as you turn away. Continue turning until all four of his feet are on the ground. Once grounded, give the command “sit” and when he does, praise him and give him a treat. Be patient and he’ll learn that he gets rewarded when he sits, not when he jumps.

Note: Everyone in the house must use this technique or your dog will not learn this discipline.
